'05 Specialized Enduro

Key Features

• FSR Suspension
Specialized FSR suspension technology is the ultimate suspension choice for any offroad application. Our exclusive FSR suspension design provides the best in fully active suspension performance across rough terrain. Because it’s fully active and independent, the suspension works perfectly under all conditions, and across all types of rough terrain, regardless of whether you’re braking, pedaling, or coasting.
• Optimized Radius Engineering (O.R.E.)
The unique shape of the downtube and toptube on every Stumpjumper plays a major role in their strength, light weight, and performance. By manipulating the shapes of these tubes, Specialized engineer Jason Chamberlain aligned added material with high load areas (like the sides of the down tube), while simultaneously maximizing weld surface area for optimal stress distribution. By putting a longitudinal radius in the down tube as it approaches the head tube, the need for a gusset is eliminated, thus increasing strength (due to less welding) while decreasing weight (since less material is required.)
• All New 150mm Chassis
- Lowered the center of gravity by lowering the shock and link position.
- Unmatched standover clearance, improving handling and agility.
- To improve front end strength and stiffness, we added an Enduro-specific version of our Cobra head tube, originally designed for our Demo 8 & 9. This patented forged oversized head tube allows for increased welding surfaces to connect the massive ORE top and down tubes. It’s also internally butted and externally relieved to eliminate excess weight and material.
- New one-piece forged BB/Seat tube effectively maximizes strength and stiffness of the critical bottom bracket/seat tube/shock link pivot area.
- Patented rear derailleur protector
• Advanced rear shocks custom selected for each bike's application (custom 5th Element on some, Fox FLOAT on others).
