It's all about the trail (and riding as much of it as possible.) Like its big brother, the Stumpjumper FSR, each FSRxc delivers awesome suspension and geometry so the rider can find the flow on his/her favorite trail.
Lightweight and mind-blowing efficiency let the pilot ride more.
This sweet balance of trail competence and cross country speed may lead one to ask, "Is the FSRxc a technical condition XC bike or a fast all-mountain trail bike?" To which we answer, "Yes."
Key Features
• FSR Suspension
FSR Suspension provides the best in plus, fully active suspension performance
across any terrain. Because it's fully active and independent,
the suspension works perfectly under all conditions, regardless of whether
you're
braking,
pedaling, or coasting.
• Optimized Radius Engineering (O.R.E.)
The unique shape of the downtube and toptube on every Stumpjumper plays a major
role in their strength, light weight, and performance. By manipulating
the shapes of these tubes, Specialized engineer Jason Chamberlain aligned
added material
with high load areas (like the sides of the down tube), while simultaneously
maximizing weld surface area for optimal stress distribution. By
putting a
longitudinal radius in the down tube as it approaches the head
tube, the need for a gusset
is eliminated, thus increasing strength (due to less welding) while
decreasing weight (since less material is required.)
• All-new chassis inspired by the Stumpjumper FSR, with 100mm rear travel
and ORE downtube and toptube, updated geometry, pierced seat
tube, and full cartridge bearings at suspension pivots.
• FSRxc bikes utilize custom, larger air volume rear shocks for a more
linear compression and better trail performance.
• Every FSRxc is constructed from our proprietary A1 Premium Aluminum alloy
material. The difference comes in our engineering and design
teams' control over every phase of the alloy's existence, from raw billet to
finished
frame.
By controlling
every aspect of construction, our A1 frames are able to affordably
maximize strength-to-weight ratios and ride quality.
